Find Waldo Local – West Chester

Waldo, the iconic children’s book character, is returning West Chester!

Bookmarks is once again hosting Find Waldo Local, an exciting scavenger hunt to find Waldo in participating local businesses. The program has taken place since 2012, with hundreds of bookstores and thousands of other local businesses participating across the country.

What is Find Waldo Local?

Find Waldo Local is a community-wide scavenger hunt sponsored by Candlewick Press and hosted by independent bookstores across the country. Bookmarks is proud to host Find Waldo Local West Chester.

When: July 1-19, 2026

Where: Throughout Downtown West Chester

How do I participate?

Pick up a Where’s Waldo stamp card in Bookmarks or any participating business beginning July 1. Visit the participating businesses and locate the small Waldo standee and have your card stamped/marked in each store.

When you are finished collecting business stamps, return your card to Bookmarks.

  • Collect 10 stamps or more and receive a Where’s Waldo poster. (limited to first 125 participants)
  • Collect 20 stamps or more and be entered into the prize drawings.

Join us on July 26 for our finale celebration, including fun activities, refreshments and prize drawings.

Prizes include:

  • Where’s Waldo books.
  • Gift certificates to many of the participating businesses.
  • A Where’s Waldo Grand Prize including Where’s Waldo books, a gift card to Bookmarks and other fun items!
