Bookmarks is dedicated to supporting local and regional authors and has designated space in both the children’s and adult areas to highlight those books. Several of our local authors are among our best-selling books.
If you have recently published a book and would like to see it on our shelves, we have developed a set of guidelines to ensure a mutually-beneficial partnership.
**Please Note: Bookmarks is not able to review author submissions during the months of November and December.
Author Guidelines include:
- Books must be traditionally bound, with a printed spine displaying the title and author of the book. Spiral bound, stapled or any other type of book binding will not be considered.
- Books must have a ISBN number printed on the front or back cover.
- Books must be published within the past five years, preferably in the past two years.
- Bookmarks will not purchase books directly from any distributor or publisher with which it does not already have established accounts.
- Bookmarks is not responsible for the marketing and promotion of your book.
